Full Description:
our 2 bed house is situated on a gated complex & was built 16yrs ago.the fully furnished property includes,tv,dvd,& cable (spanish),a small kitchen with hob,microwave,fridge freezer,kettle,toaster,and all cuttlery & utensils.the lounge has a large sofa,table,chairs etc.there are 2 bedrooms.one a double with fitted wardrobes,and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and wardrobes.both have air con.the house is all electric & an electric fire is fitted in the lounge and each bedroom has an electric radiator should you req them.all linen and sheets are provided.upstairs there is a bathroom which includes toilet,sink, bidet & shower.there is also a downstairs toilet&sink.the house has a private courtyard which is fully tiled and surrounded by a beautiful flowering budlia tree.
the courtyard has a table & chairs an outside sink & shower.there is also a retractable awning which covers most of the courtyard should a little shade be needed from the sun.a washing machine is provided in a small outhouse if required.entrance to the house is through the courtyard.there is a large pool on the complex just 15yards from the house.there is also a bar which serves excellent food&drink situated at the poolside,the bar is open in high season,which is normally around end of may to sept.
a 5min walk takes you out of the complex & into the port centre,where you can look around the many shops or just relax in one of the many bars and restaraunts that abound.a further min walk and you arrive at the paseo maritino (promenade).this provides pedestrian access to the many shops,bars & restaraunts that overlook the superb beaches around the bay, of which puerto de mazarron (on the costa calida) boast the best in spain.all are fine sandy beaches with safe bathing.
the municipality has been awarded the blue flag for its beaches over consecutive years,the beaches are cleaned every day and are safe for all activities.the local town hall arrange many attractions for tourists which include,sub aqua diving,sailing,mountain walking etc should you feel the need.there is a vibrant live music scene around the town,which always makes for a good evening out.there is a market every sunday throughout the year just 1min from the house, there is also a superb indoor fish market mins away which is well worth a visit.various golf courses are within easy reach,from 9hole to the full 18 holes available.the finest is situated at la manga which is just a 45min drive away.
the naval port town of cartegena is a worthwile visit,with superb shops,restaraunts & bars.this is a working naval port for the spanish fleet.the architecture of cartegena is also worth a look.just inland from puerto mazarron is the town of mazarron.another spanish gem well worth a visit. should you wish to stay at our house ,a welcome pack is always provided as are all sheets ,linen, and towels.taxi,s can be arranged if required.the journey from murcia airport normaly takes around 50mins.the journey from alicante takes around 1hr 30mins.
